Jim, this is very odd. #1, Mable Woodworth Gale died in 1890. I have seen her gravestone. Katie Kelsey Gale was born in Iowa and her parents were born NY. It says "Mable"? Wow. and the fact that is says one child born, none living..led me to believe that their child died, which is why I was searching for a birth record or gravesite. Why would Katie say her name was Mable..too much of a coincidence so this must be my John Gale. He was born NH, father b. NH, mother b. VT It sounds like Katie is all mixed up in her facts, but why she put her name as "Mable" is strange.
