Looks like your Mary (Ross) White died.

I find her as Mary C. Ross, born 1852 at Winfield, Herkimer Co., NY and died December 1884. Married to Alfred White December 27, 1874 at Bowen's Prairie, Jones Co., IA. She was the daughter of Jonathan Bailey or Beardsley (1811-1886) and Elizabeth Ann Kinnie/Kinney (1818-1864). Says the parents are buried in Richland, Jones Co., IA which is Bowen's Paririe Cemetery. I see them there but not Mary. Could be a missing headstone or possibly she moved to Idaho with Alfred and died there then he remarried. But if she died in December of the year you find him married to his cousin, must have been a very quick marriage?

I don't see her remarrying in Jones County so suspect she is at Bowen's Prairie. Unfortunately not all the stones survived there and many didn't have one. My own g-g grandmother is there without one.
