Henry C 11 b ILObit for Samuel W Lain b 1824 KY(1856 census misread!)refers to his sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Akers, of this city (Olin?). The obit says 2 sisters(Mrs. Akers and Mrs Clara Holmes of CA) and one brother, Thos. Lain of NE survive.

In 1889, Sarah Ackers age 19 also died. There is a death certificate for her. She died of Typhoid Fever. There is no death certificate for Samuel but I have to wonder if he didn't die of Typhoid Fever also.....
Mary (Akers) Osborne (husband: Linus) took care of Samuel and Sarah. I am trying to locate an obit. for Mary Osborne to establish relationship to William & Jonathon.

North Salt Lake, UT 84054I tried to locate obits for Samuel & Sarah Ackers. I did not find one for Sarah and the microfilm for Samuel's obit was unreadable.
In 1880 census, they are in Cass Twp., Jones Co. on pg 346A. They came to Cedar Co., IA in 1841.
