Found parents for Henry D. Dirks...

Another 1900 census search request came up with the following for Henry D. Dirks born in August 1897:

Father: Dietrich Dirks b. August ___ 1857, (d. March 16, 1940), married to Maggie b. January ___, 1859. This Dietrich is most likely a brother to Henry M. Dirks (1841-1916).

According to the WPA, it shows Maggie/Margaret having died 1936 so cross referencing that with what the Wayne Zion deaths has came up with: Gesche Margareta Dirks, died March 25, 1936.

Doing another search on RootsWeb came up with her maiden name of Bodeker and shows them having married in Germany. The 1900 census says they had been married for 20 years (c.1880). The 1895 Wayne township census says the oldest Rebeka was born in Germany c.1881 as well as the next child.

Now that we have found the proper parents, still need correct birth and marriage dates for Deitrich and Maggie (possibly from either obit) and maiden name for Henry D. Dirks' wife Louise (previous e-mail).
