Custodian of information

In the past fifteen years I have collected a very large personal genealogy file, most of which pertains to Jones County. I am related to the Soper family who settled in Jones County in 1847. For a while now I have been contemplating what would become of my information if I were unable to share the information with others.

I am looking for suggestions about the best way to share my information. I am reluctant to post the file on the internet, but willingly share information with interested parties.

My file has more than 265,000 individuals. I use Family Historian software. I initially used Family Tree Maker software, but when the file reached 170,000 individuals the file exceeded the capacity of that software.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
