My curiosity has gotten the best of me. I am transcribing Probate Files.

Can anyone tell me the maiden name for Lucinda M Campbell? The probate does not tell me her age. I do not find her in the cemetery records.

George N? Campbell was her husband but this probate is for Lucinda M Campbell.

heirs:

John R age 25 in 1854 (Co.E 31st IA Inf)
Jane Smith 22 resided in Mercer?, NY
Francis Campbell 16 Jones Co.
Charles Campbell 12 Jones Co.

Roswell Crane (says he is a neighbor) Admins.

No real estate, but almost $1,000 in dishes, furniture, bedding, etc.

Francis & Charles live with John & Melvina Campbell in the 1850 census Jones Co. And the 1856 state census Scotch Grove. 1860 census Scotch Grove. Charles is still living with them in Marion Co., IN in 1870!

Why are only Charles & Francis heirs of the "widow" Lucinda M Campbell?
