L.F. Scott

L.F. Scott was born in IN, in 1833 came to IA with parents. Settled in Buchanan Co, briefly then removed to Jones County (Castle Grove). L.F. left for California Gold fields twice in his life. Once he took his wife with him. Then returned to Jones County, where in 1880 he and his son had an interest in the Keystone Creamery near/in Castle Grove. He had many brothers/half brothers. The brothers are not part of my quest.

L. F. 's biography tells us he left writings behind, telling of his travels to and from California.

Now someone who is distantly related to him in northern Iowa is looking for his writing.

Does anyone know what happened to the writings?
Were they published? Titled?

Any knowledge or hints of where his writings have gone I would appreciate the story.
