James Robert Patterson (died 1856) - need parents.

James Robert Patterson was married to Malinda Jane Peery. Robert died 1856 and is buried at Bowens Prairie with a huge marker with a lengthy inscription. Seeking parents to him. Does anyone have access to an obituary or death records of this time frame to see if his parents are listed?
