Funeral services for Peter E. Brodersen, 76, Wyoming, were held Feb. 23, 1996 at the First Presbyterian church in Wyoming, with the Rev. Frederick Gates officiating. Burial was the Wyoming cemetery.

Mr. Brodersen died Feb. 20 at his home, following a lingering illness.

The son of Matthias and Anna Munzert Brodersen, he was born Sept. 29, 1919 near Wyoming. He attended country schools and graduated from Wyoming high school in 1938. He helped his parents on the family farm. He married Edith Ragan June 15, 1947 in Des Moines.

The couple farmed on family land east of Wyoming. Mrs. Brodersen died in 1993.

Mr. Brodersen was a 50 year member of the Masonic Zealous Lodge No. 435 of Oxford Junction.

He is survived by a brother, Carl Brodersen, Clarence; 4 sisters-in-law, Zella Mae Hibbs, New Hampton; Mabel Nelson, Des Moines; Florence (Mrs. Robert) Hammel, McGregor; and Eleanor (Mrs. Charles) Rowley, Des Moines; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister and a brother.
