Mrs Janette Stevenson Haines died at her home in Monticello, last Friday the 30th inst. of consumption after an illnes of several months.She realized for some weeks previous tothe coming of the end, that she could not survive, and bade adieu to a kind husband and her little children with the fortitude and hope of a Christian. Mrs. Haines was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Stevenson, who were among the earliest settlers of this township. She was born December 27, 1869, and was married to Mr. George H. Haines, September 19, 1894. The deceased is survived by her husband and two children, Marian Elizabeth, aged four years and Hope, aged four months.Thew funeral services were held at the late residence of the deceased, last Monday afternoon. Rev.W.E. Van Buren officiated. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and was faithful in her Church duties, to the limit of her strength. She was devoted as a wife and mother, and did all that a woman can do to make home the happiest place on earth for her husband and children, Mra Haines had many true friends, who knowing her great worth, can appreciate the irreparable loss that the husban has sustained.
