Funeral services for Thomas L. Hefflefinger, 43, rural Olin, were held Sept. 7, 1993 at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa, with the Rev. Charles Sillman officiating. Burial was in the Green Center cemetery in Morley, with military rites by the Olin American Legion.

Mr. Hefflefinger died Sept. 4 at his home, following a sudden illness.

He was serving his first term on the Olin school board and was a member of the Morley Volunteer fire department and the Anamosa American Legion.

Mr. Hefflefinger is survived by his wife, Carlene, 2 sons, Thomas Jr. and Todd, both of Olin; a daughter, Tracy, Olin; his parents, Darrel and Florence Hefflefinger, Morley; a brother, Robert, Dubuque; and a sister, Nancy Lyon, Denver, Colo.

A memorial fund has been established.
