Inurnment services for Grace G. Vrooman,87, Tipton, will be held March 7, 1987 at the Olin cemetery, with the Rev. Jerrold Swinton officiating. The body was cremated Feb. 27.

Mrs. Vrooman died Feb. 26 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton following an extended illness.

The daughter of Jerome and Jennie Smith Bender, she was born Feb. 2, 1900 in rural Jones county. She graduated from Wyoming high school and attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids. She married Everett E. Vrooman Dec. 31, 1921 in Anamosa. She was a school teacher and a counselor, and a Past Matron, O.E.S.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Howard Vrooman, Bettendorf; 2 sisters-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Bender, Tipton and Mrs. Elizabeth Bender, Monticello; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
