Birthday Surprise-Yesterday the five daughters and daughter-in-law of Mrs. Isaac Merrill, with their children, surprised her on her fifty-sixth birthday at her home in this city. They are Mrs. Frank Ireland and her son Lee; Mrs. Lawrence Merrill and two daughters, Libbie and Cuba; Mrs. Frank Merrill, Ethel and Fay, and Mrs. H. Schledsky, Edith and Carl; Mrs. George Voorhles and daughter Hazel. All reside in Jackson Township and they brought with them the fat of the land in the way of roast chickens and other edibles, not forgetting to present Mr. Merrill with a handsome gold watch chain. It was a pretty big surprise all round for her and will be cherished among the most delightful
