METEOR - Last Saturday afternoon Mr. W. Bigler, while on his way to Anamosa, near Morey’s farm, was greatly astonished to see a beautiful meteor going in a northwesterly direction. It was about 2 o’clock in the afternoon and the phenomenon new to him. The head of the meteor was a full red, merging into a whitish red and ending in a bluish tint. There was no sound of explosion. Mrs. M. Houstman, of Jackson Township, also observed an meteorite in the afternoon when on the road to Fisherville. Are meteorites often seen in the daytime?
