Accident-Patrick Lynatt, fireman on the South-Western mail and express, was knocked insensible last Tuesday forenoon while manipulating the new engine hydrant. A part of the apparatus became disarranged and a heavy iron spout struck him just between the shoulders, and laying him flat. He stopped over for the day, and returned to Farley on the evening train. The iron spout weights 150 or 200 lbs, and if the blow had been the head it might have been a serious matter.
