James Keith Fisher was born October 1, 1934, on a farm near Riverside, Iowa in Washington
County, the son of Howard and Lillian (Wollrab) Fisher. A few years after graduating from
Riverside High School, Jim married Marilyn L. Moon on December 31, 1954. The couple and
their family lived in Iowa City where Jim was a realtor, auctioneer and farmer. He had been
involved in the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners for years. After Marilyn’s death in 2001, Jim
married Gloria Achenbach on August 14, 2004. Jim enjoyed much in his lifetime, including
operating Fisher Auction Service with his 3 sons and family for 35 years where he acquired
many antiques and collectibles. Then, he returned back to the farm where he found great pride
and purpose to pursue his passion for raising Black Angus Cattle. Later in his retirement, he
found joy in visiting the Riverside Casino to play cards, watching old time TV shows and present
day game shows, and singing at the Downey Baptist Church. But most important to Jim was his
family, especially as the grandchildren and great grandchildren came along!

His family includes his wife, Gloria; his children, Daryl Fisher, Doug Fisher, Brad (Sally)
Fisher; step-children, Cindy (Tony Torres) Mays, Tracey Achenbach, Jeff (Linda) Achenbach,
Rick (Aline) Achenbach; grandchildren, Stephanie (Allen) Glass, Kayla Fisher, Krystal Fisher,
