Funeral services for Roy Holubar, 85, were held at St. Mary's Catholic church, Solon, April 17 with burial in St. Mary's cemetery. Mr. Holubar died at Mercy hospital, Iowa City, April 15.

The son of Anton and Anna Zenishek Holubar, he was born at Solon Aug. 19, 1896. He was married to Mayme Shima at Tipton Nov. 20, 1918. He farmed in the Solon area and was a member of St. Mary's church.

She is survived by his wife; a daughter, Margene Meis, Naperville, Ill.; a son, Melvin, Marion and 7 grandchildren.
