Ann Marie Devine, 66, of Iowa City, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 28 at her home in Iowa City.

Memorial service will be at 10am on Monday, November 6 at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. There will be a luncheon for family and friends following the burial at the Coralville American Legion Post 721 (901 2nd Street, Coralville). Visitation will be from 2-4pm on Sunday, November 5 with a time of sharing at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Devine family in care of Amanda Fisher.

Ann was born on June 15, 1957 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Duane and Rosemary (Laughlin) Rummelhart. She lived in Iowa City most of her life and after graduating from Iowa City High School, received an associate degree from Kirkwood Community College. She married Tom Devine and from this union had 2 lovely daughters.

Ann loved spending time with her kids and Grandma was her favorite title. She enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing and crafting. She loved making things for family and friends.

She also enjoyed spending time with her church family and women’s group.

Ann was always a caring person. She cared for her mother and father prior to their passing, was a volunteer at the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center and participated in fostering pets to find their forever homes.

Ann is survived by her daughters, Amanda (Joe) Fisher of Urbandale and Erica Devine of Iowa City; siblings: Mike (Beth) Rummelhart of Kenosha, WI; Rick (Helen) Rummelhart of Plymouth, MN; Dave (Dee) Rummelhart of Ottumwa, IA; Steve (Angie) Rummelhart of Iowa City, IA; Don (Pat) Rummelhart of Roselle, IL and Catrina (Kurt) Elia of Durham, NC; grandchildren: Caitlyn (Mike) Axtell, Noah Fisher, Isaac Fisher, Caleb Fisher and Briar Sedlacek; great-grandchildren: Bayleigh, Asher, Denny and Ebriella. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Rosemary Rummelhart and her sister, Linda.
