Thomas George Cook, 62, of 2078 Glen Oaks Drive, Coralville, died Tuesday September 7, 2004 in Norfolk, Virginia after a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held on Monday September 13, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road, Coralville. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Lensing’s Oak Hill.

Thomas was born February 12, 1942 in Fairfield, Iowa to Dr. Kenneth G. Cook and Irene L. (Bachman) Cook. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1967 in General Science-Chemistry and a Masters in Business Administration in 1967, from the University of Iowa. He was employed many years as a stockbroker with T.C. Henderson Co., Stifel Nicholaus, Inc., and Dain, Kalman and Quail in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids before retiring in 1981 in Iowa City. He was a member of the Fairfield Presbyterian Church. He was a lifetime member of the University of Iowa Alumni Association and a silver circle member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Thomas married Diana McElroy Summers on August 7, 1987.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Diana, son Jason Cook of Seattle, Washington, stepchildren Richard Summers of Iowa City and Marcie Hunnicutt of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and two grandsons Caleb and Nathan Hunnicutt.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents.
