Honora M. “Nana” Walsh, 51, of Parkview Trailer Court in Oxford, died Wednesday, July
28, 2004 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics of cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parnell with Reverend Pat Lumsden officiating. A parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Friday. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Parnell. Friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City and Saturday morning one hour before the Mass at church. Memorials may be directed to the Honora “Nana” Walsh Memorial Fund.

Nana was born January 29, 1953 in Iowa County, the daughter of Patrick & Wilma (Keelin) Walsh. She graduated from Williamsburg High School and had attended the University of Iowa. She was a bus driver for the Coralville Transit System and Johnson County SEATS.

She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Parnell.

Survivors include a sister, Mildred “Millie” Mizer & her husband Dr. Lavell Mizer of Denton, Texas and a brother, John Wombacher of Vinton, Iowa, several nieces & nephews and two very close friends, Anita Reihmann & Debbie Davidson, both of Marengo.

Nana was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Michele Moore.
