Marian J. Mann, 74, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at her home surrounded by love.

Funeral Services to celebrate Marian’s life will be held at 10:30 am Friday, June 25, 2004 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church with Pastor. Maria Wiblin officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave. A luncheon at the church will follow the committal service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Parish Nurse Ministry at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church or Iowa City Hospice.

Marian was born November 20, 1929 in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Ruth Cain Burkhalter. On June 2, 1950 she married Edwin Mann in Des Moines, Iowa.

Marian was raised in Ottumwa, Hedrick, Fairfield, Bloomfield and Des Moines before moving to Iowa City in 1962. She retired in 1986 from the Federal Employees Credit Union after 20 years.. Marian was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and the Do-Si -Do Square Dance Club. Marian’s greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Marian is survived by her husband, Ed; her daughter, Lynda and John Wilson of Wellman; two sons, David Mann of Macomb, Illinois and John and Lori Mann of Adel; ten grandchildren, Julie and her husband Jason, Cary, Michael, Bret, Brittney, Nicholas, Quintan, Hanna, Allyson, and Gretchen.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert
