Glenn H. Huedepohl, 54, of 127 E. State Street in Oxford, died Thursday, April 1, 2004 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City from cancer.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 5th at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Iowa City with Pastor Tim Zimmerman officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Lensing’s Oak Hill in Coralville. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Conroy.

Glenn was born April 20, 1949 in Williamsburg, Iowa, the son of Harvey & Esther (Trimpe) Huedepohl. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1967. He married Kathy Lea Furler on September 27, 1969 in Conroy, Iowa. Glenn worked as a location manager for New Horizon F S in Oxford for nearly 35 years. Glenn was a member of the Farm Bureau and had earlier served in the Army Reserves. Glenn thoroughly enjoyed and was dedicated to his work. He was an advocate of agriculture and farming as a way of life.

Glenn is survived by his wife Kathy of Oxford; a son Andrew Huedepohl & his wife Kit of Bethel, CT and a daughter Kate Tryon & her husband John of Davenport, IA; a grandson Aidan Huedepohl; his parents, Harvey & Esther Huedepohl of rural Williamsburg; two sisters, LaMar Stanerson & her husband Keith of Conroy, IA and Vida McCoy & her husband Jim of Westlake, OH.; two brothers, Neal Huedepohl & his wife Teresa of Conroy and Bruce Huedepohl of LaPorte City, IA; several nieces and nephews; father & mother in law, Wilfred & Dorothy Furler of Williamsburg; brothers and sisters in law, Russell & Bonnie Furler of Conroy, Randy & Kathy Furler of Round Rock, Texas and Douglas Furler of Indianola, IA.
