Page 8, Column 4Illness Fatal To Arthur F. JOHNSON
Arthur F. JOHNSON, 68, well-known Jefferson county farmer, died Sunday at 9:40 p.m. at the Jefferson County hospital after a serious illness of a month.
Last rites will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Marion Shuppe. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
A life-time resident of this county, JOHNSON resided on a farm six miles east of Fairfield. He was born at Packwood July 6, 1887, the son of Charles and Charlotte Linstrom (sic - LINDSTROM) Johnson. He was married to Ellen COLESON June 24, 1916 at Kansas City, Mo.
Johnson attended Elliott's Business college in Burlington. He was a life-time member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Dean JOHNSON, Fairfield; and one grandson. A brother, Elmer JOHNSON, Denver, Colo., and a sister, Mrs. Anton CARLSON, Ottumwa, also survive.
Two brothers are deceased.
