Mrs. Anna L. JOHNSON, 86, died Friday afternoon at the Nelson Nursing home where she had been a patient since March 1, 1962. She had been seriously ill for three weeks.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Alvin Nelson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. JOHNSON had been a resident of Fairfield for five years. Most of her life was spent in northern Wisconsin. She was born Sept. 8, 1876 at Flintville, Wis., the daughter of Byron and Ellen DEWEY LADD. She was married to LeRoy BOVEE Jan. 3, 1899. He died in 1913.
Mrs. JOHNSON was married to Ever JOHNSON Sept. 4, 1918. He preceded her in death in 1936. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Leonard HISEL, Fairfield; Mrs. G. L. VAN VLIET, Amberg Wis.; and Carl L. JOHNSON, Milwaukee, Wis. Seventeen grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren also survive. Two sisters and two brothers are deceased.

Out-of-town residents who came to Fairfield to attend last rites for Mrs. Anna JOHNSON Monday afternoon have returned to their homes. Among those coming from Wisconsin were: a son, Carl JOHNSON of Milwaukee, Richard Anderson and Mrs. Beatrice Taylor of Huburtus and Mr. and Mrs. Paul JOHNSON, Pamela and Patricia, Cedarburg. Others were Mrs. Bill Glabb of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; and Mrs. and Mrs. H. W. Boyce and Stephen of Des Moines.
A daughter, Mrs. Goldie VAN VLIET of Amberg, Wis., became ill with a heart condition on the train en route to Fairfield, and was hospitalized in Green Bay.
