MRS. L. HARPER PASSES AWAY

Funeral Services Will Probably Be Held At The J. F. JAMES Home

Mrs. Lester HARPER passed away at her home in Newton Friday at 1:30 oclock following an operation (note: in Jasper Co., IA).

The funeral services will probably be held from the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. F. JAMES, 204 East Briggs street, Monday afternoon.

Jennie Jane HARPER was born at Farmington December 12, 1892 (sic - 1893). she lived here before and after her marriage. She leaves to mourn her death her husband and a son Howard Eugene, her parents Mr. and Mrs. J. F. JAMES.

LAST RITES FOR MRS. L. HARPER

Held Yesterday from the J. F. JAMES Home Conducted By Dr. H. B. Scoles

Funeral services for Mrs. Lester HARPER who passed away at her home in Newton Friday, were held yesterday at 2:30 oclock from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. JAMES, 204 East Briggs street, conducted by Dr. H. B. Scoles. Interment was made in Evergreen cemetery.

The following men served as pall bearers: Oran McMurray, Harold Lee, Frank Simmons, Glenn Leathers, Gilbert Paul and Carl Simmons.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Clark McBride of Chariton; Mrs. Lucy Gushwa of Lovillia; Mrs. John Ferris, Mr. and Mrs. Dave HARPER and son George of Newton; Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Paul and son Gilbert, Mrs. Mabel Nelson and son Harold of Muscatine.
