T. R. CRANDALL INJURED IN CAR ACCIDENT
Local man still unconscious after smash-up near Cedar bridge

T. R. CRANDALL, owner and manager of Crandall's Refrigerator and Radio Service, 117 East Broadway, is in the Jefferson county hospital today suffering from shock and possible internal injuries as a result of an automobile smash-up which occurred on the west side of the Cedar bridge west of Fairfield on Highway 24 (sic - 34) shortly after 2:00 a.m. this morning.

CRANDALL was reported as still unconscious late this morning.

He was brought to Fairfield by ambulance around 2:30 a.m.

Sheriff Thomas Howell who investigated the accident reports that the extent of the damage to the sedan CRANDALL was driving has not yet been determined. It is believed, howeer, that the car is badly smashed.

Although there were no witnesses to the accident evidence indicates CRANDALL probably lost control of the car, rounding the curve, went down the steep incline, hit the ground head on and turned over.

The car was found several yards off the north side off the highway on its side.
