Courtney Allen CRANDALL

Courtney Allen CRANDALL, 88, 504 Highland St., died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Page officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church.

Mr. CRANDALL was born July 15, 1911, in Muscatine, the son of Thomas Roy and Bertha ALLEN CRANDALL. He married Gladys Ruth NELSON Aug. 30, 1940, in Fairfield.

Mr. CRANDALL lived most of his life in the Fairfield community. He was a 1930 graduate of Fairfield High School. He also graduated from Electrical Tech School-Kansas City, Mo. He owned and operated Crandall's Electric. He and his wife also owned and operated Nature's Way Health Food.

He was a member of the Walton Club and the Elks Lodge 1192 in Fairfield.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Tom CRANDALL of York, Pa., Allen and Karl CRANDALL, both of Fairfield, and Kris CRANDALL of Iowa City; two daughters, Shirley CRANDALL of Hyannis, Mass., and Suzanne CRANDALL of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Perry CRANDALL of Vancouver, Wash.; and one sister, Martha Jane BANK of Chapala, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
