Glen "Bud" and Erma DIMMITT of Fairfield observed their 70th wedding anniversary during an early celebration June 29 at their home.
Their daughter Brenda KNAACK and her husband Phil of Oscoda, Mich., grandchildren and great-grandchildren, hosted the celebration. Family members and guests spent the day eating, reminiscing and taking photos.
Bud DIMMITT and Erma SMUTZ were married Aug. 28, 1943, at the home of her parents Harley and Ellen SMUTZ southeast of Fairfield.
The couple has two daughters, Brenda KNAACK and the late Sheryl, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
