15 Year Old Boy Has Hiccoughed Three Weeks

Mr. and Mrs. J. W. STALLMAN, Mrs. W. A. STALLMAN and Mrs. Neal STALLMAN and son Ernest motored to Iowa City yesterday where the latter underwent an examination at the clinic at the Iowa University hospital. This 15 year old lad has had the hiccoughs for the past three weeks and cases of this nature are very unusual.

ERNEST STALLMAN'S CONDITION SERIOUS

Ernest STALLMAN, the 15 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Neal STALLMAN, is in a very serious condition at the Jefferson County hospital. He had hiccoughed for over three weeks and Saturday afternoon these were stopped but he is in a very weakened condition from the several weeks' illness.

*Transcribed for genealogy purposes; I am not related to the person(s) mentioned.

Note: The second article was a clipping in a scrapbook next to the first. It did not have a date on it, but appears to be from November, 1923.
