Prairie City news – Mr. Jerry Farrar residing four and a half miles southwest of Prairie City, died at his home, last Wednesday after a short illness. Mr. Farrar was numbered among one of the oldest residents of the county and had a large circle of acquaintances who respected him for his honesty, purity of character and neighborly generosity. He had acquired the ripe old age of seventy-eight years, three months and twenty-four days.
