Jim White Obituary
James Robert “Jim” White, 71, of Newton, Iowa, passed away on April 6, 2026, at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House.

Jim was born on November 15, 1954, in Newton to James W. White and Elizabeth A. (Harlow) White. He attended Newton schools and later furthered his education at DMACC, where he studied auto mechanics. On December 2, 1974, he was united in marriage to Dianna Marie Foster in Newton, Iowa.

Jim worked for many years for Custom Gutters before his retirement. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed staying busy, often helping with farm work and visiting with farmers. He also liked attending auctions with his boss, watching old western movies, and playing pool. Above all, Jim treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna White; his sons, Jeff (Angie) White of Elkhart and Bob (Courtney) White of Osceola; his grandsons, Colin, Owen, Sullivan, and Liam White; his brother, Bill White; and his sister, Sylvia Conrad.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth White.

No services have been scheduled at this time. Memorials may be designated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
