Funeral services for Mrs Grace Crocker were conducted at the Murdoch Funeral home Friday afternoon by Rev. H. LeRoy Kinser. Interment was in the McKeever cemetery.
Pallbearers were Robert Ham, Ted Dickenson, Roger Peterson, George Wonders, Vernon Schnathorst and Garland Wonders.
Mrs. Merrill Murphy, accompanied by Mrs. R. L. Jackson, sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere”.
Mrs. Grace Crocker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wonders, was born at Colfax, Ia., August 1, 1894, and departed this life July 29 1941, at the age of 46 years, 11 months and 28 days.
She was united in marriage to Parley Crocker in 1916 and to this union were born two children, Mrs. Michael Ulrey of Newton and a son, Bernard, also of Newton.
Others surviving are three grandchildren, Michael Dean, Patricia Rose and Richard Lee; three brothers and one sister, James Wonders, William Wonders of Newton, Thomas Wonders of Waterloo and Mrs. Earl Hickman of Lake Chelan, Wash.
She was preceded in death two years ago by her husband, Parley Crocker.
She was a member of the Christian church.
During the past 15 years she was employed at the Newton Manufacturing company.
