Carolyn May Frederick, 70, passed away November 11, 2005 at Mercy Hospital. Funeral service will be 11:00 Thursday at Mitchellville Funeral Home with burial at the Mitchellville Cemetery.
Carolyn lived in Mitchellville and surrounding areas growing up. She graduated from Mingo High School and was married in 1955 to Norman Frederick. They recently moved to Des Moines from Knoxville, Ia.
Survivors include her husband, Norman; daughters, Diane (husband Jim) Miller of Pleasant Hill, Kathy (husband Russell) Brooks of Jacksonville, Fla.; sons, Larry (wife June) and Ken (wife Michelle) all of Knoxville; six grandchildren; mother, Emma Bowers; sister and brother-in-law, Linda & Jim Buttrey all of Rogers, Ark.; brothers, Keith (wife Mary) Battles of Crossville, Tenn., and Stanley Battles of Moyie, ID.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Mitchellville Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the Mitchellville Community Center.
