Dorothy Ann Trotter, 90, went home to be with her Lord and beloved husband Arthur on Tuesday, July 24, 2024, at her home in Newton.

In lieu of flowers memorials in Dorothy’s name are being designated.

Dorothy, the daughter of Alfred Wesley Allison and Osie Major, was born May 13, 1934, in Iowa. She had attended area schools. Dorothy was employed and retired from Dunlap’s in the assembly department.

On July 13, 1950, Dorothy was united in marriage with Arthur Eldon Trotter in Montezuma, Iowa. She had devoted her life to her family as a good wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed her family get-togethers.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Arthur on August 20, 2010; and a step-daughter Sharon Day.

Those left to honor Dorothy’s memory include
a daughter Theresa Trotter Tagle; her nieces and a nephew and a special niece Christina Trotter: a grandson; and her many friends.

No services for Dorothy are planned at this time, and interment for her will be in the Veteran’s Section at Newton Union Cemetery. Pence~Reese Funeral Home in Newton, have been entrusted with the arrangements.
