Gregory Lewis, 63, of Kellogg, passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. A memorial visitation was 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Greg’s name to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.
Greg was born Jan. 6, 1960, to Russell and Barbara (Howard) Lewis in Grinnell. He graduated from Lynnville-Sully High School in 1978. Greg was united in marriage to Kimberly Northcutt on Feb. 5, 1982. They later divorced. He married Cindy George on June 26, 2004, in Sully. Greg was employed with Arcosa Wind Towers in Newton for the past 10 years. In his early years of working, Greg was employed with Pella Windows for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, and archery.
Greg will be missed by his wife Cindy; a daughter Keisha (Joe) Larson of West Des Moines; a son Zackary (Tiffany) Lewis of Sully; a stepson Michael (April) Cooling of State Center; a stepdaughter Elaine (Clay) Deppe of Kellogg; 14 grandkids: Cayden, Anthony, Lily, Kylee, Emma, Connor, Andrew, Maddox, Grace, Mia, Makylah, Colton, Ivy, and Raelin; his mother Barbara Lewis of Howard, SD; two sisters: Lori (Brad) Kiehl of Howard, SD, and Margaret Lewis of Kansas City, MO; and an uncle Mike Howard of New Sharon.
He was preceded in death by his father Russell Lewis, mother- and father-in-law Bill and Joan George, and many aunts and uncles.
