June 25, 1929 ~ April 12, 2021 (age 91)

Dortha Iola Webster, 91, of Newton died on Monday, April 12, 2021 at her home. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials to Wesley Life Hospice may be left at the funeral home.

Dortha, the daughter of Ora and Mabel (Bartlett) Carrico, was born on June 25, 1929 in Garden Grove. She grew up in Garden Grove and also graduated from high school there. Dortha was united in marriage with William “Bill” Junior Webster on September 2, 1950 in Garden Grove. They lived there and in Kansas City before moving to Newton in 1966. Dortha worked at J.C. Penney and then for the Vernon Company for 25 years before retiring. Dortha enjoyed bowling and played in many bowling leagues. She also had played Bingo for several years.

Dortha is survived by two sons, William “Bill” (Diane) Webster and Robert “Bob” (Cindy) Webster; grandchildren, Cyndi Miller, Jason (Mindy) Webster, Tony Webster, Tonia Flora, Andrea (Cory) Keller, Angie (Craig) Keith, and Tara Heck; her great-grandchildren, Cole Webster, Jaycie Webster, Mariah Webster, Lily Webster, Devin Flora, Danika Flora, Ayden Keller, Carley Keller, Nathan Keith, Libbie Keith, Bristol Keith, Bentley Heck, Brycen Heck, and Samantha Miller; her brother, Truman Carrico of Dearborn, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Webster; son, Terry Webster; and siblings, Gene (Kay) Carrico, Dean (Frieda) Carrico, Delbert (Wanda) Carrico, Melvin Carrico, Wayne Carrico, Marvin (Frieda) Carrico, and Betty (Oliver) Hendrix.
