Robert Wayne (Bob) Wagaman was born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 8, 1947 to David Wayne Wagaman and Laurel Mae (Yowell) Wagaman. He lived his entire life in Prairie City, Iowa where he was raised enjoying many activities that small towns provided. Some of his fondest memories were vacations and large get-togethers with his own family and long-time family and friends, Luther and Mary Schekel and Wayne and Caroline Faidley.

Bob attended the Prairie City School system where he earned many sports letters in basketball, track and football and graduated in 1966.

In 1967 Bob was drafted into the US Army. In 1968 he was sent to the VietNam conflict to serve with Company C, 1st Battalion (Airmobile), 8th Cavalry. While serving in Viet Nam, Bob earned many medals, two of which were the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star with a "V". In 1969 he returned from VietNam and ended his two years of military service. After returning from the Army, Bob began working at the Wagaman family owned business, The Prairie City Feed Mill and later worked at Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella, Iowa until his retirement in 2010.

In 1970 Bob married his high school sweetheart Sandra (Sandy) Van Zee. To this union two children were born, Bradley Wayne and Sheree Anne.

Bob had many interests in life. Some of these included, hunting, fishing, riding his Harley. But one of his greatest joys was participating in rides for the Patriot Guard. He was a member of various organizations, including the Odd Fellows, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. But, as Bob would say, the most joy he received in life was being with his large family, and especially his children and grandchildren. Bob was diagnosed with COPD and Alzheimers while in his 60's and passed away on March 24, 2021 at the Comfort House in Pella, Iowa

Those surviving Bob are his wife Sandy; their children Brad and Stacie Wagaman and their children Celeste and Chase; Sheree and Kris Van Der Kamp and their children Alyssa, Lauren, Maggie, Sydnee and Kate.
