Chester Lee Romick was born July 24, 1909 in Jasper County, Iowa to Charles Landis Romick and Verna Oco Webb.
Married Velma Lucille Tatum on December 26, 1929 in McCook, Nebraska.
To this couple was born four children: Charles "Earl" Romick, Alvin Eugene Romick, Ava Marie Romick, and Verna Leota Romick.
Chester died of emphysema on February 3, 1972 in Iowa City, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles Landis Romick and Verna Oco Webb Romick, wife: Velma Lucille Tatum Romick, two daughters: Ava Marie and Verna Leota Romick.
He is survived by two sons: Charles "Earl" (Betty)Romick of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Alvin Eugene (Gerry) Romick of Belleville, Illinois; eight grandchildren: Ronald Lee Romick, Nancy Lynne Romick, Bruce Earl Romick, Elaine Kay Romick, Brent Eugene Romick, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Kenneth Eugene Romick, Keith Everett Romick and Cheryl Ann Romick all of Belleville, Illinois.
