Jacqueline K. Kane age 71 of Prairie City passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at MercyOne in Des Moines. A memorial visitation will take place on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Memorials may be directed to the Walnut Creek Fire Department or the Prairie CIty Ambulance Fund. The daughter of William "Bill' and Mary Lou (McFadden) Kane, Jackie was born on January 25, 1950 in Des Moines. She graduated from Prairie City High School in 1968 and then attended the Iowa School of Beauty. She worked for many years at the Polk County Recorder's Office, retiring in 2014. Jackie loved camping, fishing, traveling and horses.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Lonnie (Debbie) Herwehe, Jay Herwehe, Dusty (Kohlyne) Herwehe and Melissa Berry; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother Jerry (Marjie) Kane and her best friend, Joyce Butler.
