Colfax Man Dies At Age Of 71 Years – Buried At What Cheer
Louis Perrier, father of Joe Perrier of Newton died at his home in Colfax June 8 after an illness brought on by his advanced age.
Mr. Perrier was born in France June 25, 1850. He was married to Aimee DeCamp and to this union five children were born, two dying in infancy. Besides a number of friends and relatives he leaves three children, Mrs. Blanch Doller of Ottumwa, Mrs. Chris Miller of Danville, Ia., and Joe Perrier of Newton.
Funeral services were held at the Colfax Funeral Home with Rev. Williamson, pastor of the Christian church, in charge. Burial was made in the What Cheer cemetery by the side of his wife who preceded hii in death 35 years ago.
