June V. Farrell (Sladek) of Birmingham, Ala., died March 3, 2015, at Traceway Retirement Center – Frank House.

She was born in 1918, in Newton, where she resided until marrying Clifford E. Farrell in 1941. They lived in Iowa, Illinois and Indiana, before moving to Homewood, Ala., in 1963. Cliff worked at Fontaine Truck Equipment Company. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Sorrows in Homewood, Ala.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years; one grandson, Justin H. Woods, USMC, in 2011.

Survivors include her three children, Sharyn K. Woods and husband Frank of Mililani, Hawaii, Kirk M. Farrell and wife Luisa of Houston, Texas, and Jill A. Adderholt and husband Steven of Tupelo, Miss.; three grandchildren, Shane T. Woods of Reno, Nev., Katrina K. Farley of Mililani, Hawaii, and Brandon K. Adderholt, U.S. Navy, San Diego, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren, Saavedra M. Woods of Reno, Nev., Syndhl K. Farley of Mililani, Hawaii, Momo, Yuna, and Luna Woods of Okinawa, Japan.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at the Union Cemetery, in Newton, where she will be buried beside of her loving husband and parents.
