Nick Quinby, 20, of Johnston, a former resident of Monroe, died Friday, May 1, 1992 of injuries suffered in an automobile-tractor accident near Prairie City.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 at Monroe United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Morloch, pastor of the Reasnor United Methodist Church conducted services. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery at Monroe.
Survivors are his father and step-mother, Dan and Carrie Quinby of Ankeny; his mother and step-father, Connie and Jim Tangeman of Monroe; and his grandparents, Helen Teeple of Charles City and Keith and Juanita Quinby of Floyd; a step-brother Brett Tangeman of Monroe, a step-brother and step-sister, Danny and Brandy Guffey of Ankeny; and a special friend, Jana Davis.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Max Teeple.
Mr. Quinby worked for Underground Construction of Urbandale.
He was born August 6, 1971 in Osage, and received his diploma from Des Moines Area Community College in 1989
