Rorabaugh, Royal G. “Bus” – 1910-1992

Royal G. “Bus” Rorabaugh, 81, of Clearview Manor in Prairie City, died Wednesday, July 1, 1992 at the facility.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 3 at Reese Chapel in Newton. The Rev. Garold Quick, pastor of the Metz Community Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Rorabaugh Cemetery in rural Colfax.
Memorials to the Metz Community Church or the American Cancer Society are being accepted.
Survivors are three brothers, John and Rex, both of rural Colfax, and Wayne of rural Reasnor; and a sister, Wanda (Mrs. George) Selbher of rural Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
Mr. Rorabaugh had been employed at the Newton Water Works until his retirement in 1975. He was a former past member of the Sugar Grove Grange, and had caught for the Metz baseball team for many years.
The son of Fred and Mary Jane Hummel Rorabaugh, he was born July 20, 1910 on a farm east of Colfax. He attended the Rorabaugh Country School in rural Colfax.
Mr. Rorabaugh had lived in Newton and Colfax, and had lived in Millerton for 15 years. He made his home with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. George Selbher, for two years before his move to Clearview Manor.
