Clyde Phineas Busby, 73, a lifelong resident of the Runnells area, died Tuesday, September 1, 1992 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 4 at the Runnells Christian Church. The Rev. Clinton Wolfe conducted the services. Burial was in Vandalia Cemetery in Vandalia. Peterson Funeral Service of Carlisle handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions to Camp Township Fire Department are being accepted.
Survivors are his wife, Pauline; three daughters; Louise Gulling, Janice Kain and Joyce Freel, all of Runnells; a son, Ralph of Runnells; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his mother, Mable Baker of Des Moines; a sister, Alice Robinson of Des Moines; two brothers, Robert of Mitchellville and Lloyd of Johnston; a step-sister, Wilma Faye Freel of Des Moines; and a step-brother, Robert Lee Thomasson of Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alva.
He was a retired farmer.
The son of Alva and Mable Miller Busby, he was born December 31, 1918 near Runnells.
