Marna L. Trotter Beach, 51, of Box 561, Grinnell, a longtime Newton resident, died Thursday, November 12, 1992 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 16 at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton. The Rev. Sam Reaves, pastor of the Seymour Assembly of God, conducted the services. Burial was in Newton Union Cemetery.
Memorials in her name are being accepted.
Survivors are her husband, Marvin “Marv”, five daughters: Theresa Cranston of Gilman, Deanna (Mrs. James) Carmer of Grinnell, Melissa (Mrs. Wayne) Howell of Le Grand, Jane (Mrs. James) Shine of Marshalltown and Shannon Beach of Grinnell; and 13 grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother, Mike Trotter of Newton; and four sisters: Ruth (Mrs. Vern) Harger, Nada (Mrs. Marvin) Allspach and Marvel (Mrs. Lynn) Jones, all of Newton, and Marsha Kay Sneller of Prairie City; and her parents, George and Gertrude Trotter of Newton.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Eugene and Ellen in infancy, and a sister, Marvis Vaughn, October 21, 1992.
Mrs. Beach was a homemaker.
The daughter of George M. and Gertrude Virginia Van Baale Trotter, she was born May 16, 1941 in Newton. She attended Newton schools, including Newton Community High School.
She was married to Marvin L. Beach September 13, 1958 in Newton.
Mrs. Beach lived in Newton most of her life, moving to Grinnell eight years ago.
