Monroe – Little Mary, five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mead died last week with malignant diphtheria. Mrs. Mead has been very low with the same disease, but is some better. Little Mary was a beautiful and sweet little girl; the pride of a happy home and her loss is deeply felt. The remains were taken to Des Moines for interment in St. Ambrose cemetery. The parents have the sympathy of all in their afflictions.
