WILSON – In Newton, July 23d, 1877, Mrs. Parthenia Wilson, wife of John C. Wilson, aged 41 years and two months.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Northumberland county, Pa., May 21, 1836. In infancy with her parents she removed to Richland County, Ohio. From thence she came to Iowa in 1856, residing with her brother, C. L. Connelly of this place, until her marriage to J. C. Wilson, May 5th, 1859. She united with the Presbyterian church in 1857, lived resting in the promises of the Savior, and died in the triumphs of the Gospel, having a sure hope of blessed immortality. “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.”
