Bellevue - Mrs. Elizabeth Schaub died at her home on Front street Saturday evening about 7 o'clock. She was 82 years old in April, having been born in Germany. She came to this country when nine years of age, her first home being at Bellville, Ill. From there they went to St. Louis and there she was married to Adam Schaub. The next year after her marriage they came to Bellevue where she has since resided in the home where she died and which is an old landmark, being one of the buildings that was the scene of the Bellevue war. She is survived by four sons and three daughters: Gertrude, who has cared for the mother in her declining years; George and Joseph, of Bellevue; William of Red Wing, Minn.; Adam and Mrs. Pauline Florer, Boooneville, Ind.; and Mrs. Catherine Miller, of Evansville, Ind.; also one sister, Mrs. Hermna Hebben of Andrey. The body was tenderly laid to rest in the North cemetery. Mass was celebrated at St. Jospeh's church attended by sorrowing relatives, friends and neighbors.
