On Wednesday, Jan. 16th, at South Garry Owen, by the Rev. Father McNamara, occurred the marriage of Miss Eliza Kinsella and Mr. Frank Hawkes. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Kinsella and is much admired by a large circle of acquaintances for her many excellent womanly qualities. The groom is one of Prairie Creek’s prosperous and successful young farmers and is worthy of the fair bride he has won. Mr. and Mrs. Hawkes have launched their bark in the sea of matrimony and kind wishes and rejoicing of friends who hope the bark may weather the storms in that precarious sea and land them in the haven of domestic peace and who may pronounce the voyage prosperous and congratulate them on their merited and enviable reward. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents in the evening where dancing and feasting were indulged in. The young couples were the recipients of many costly and useful presents.
