Barbara Ann Miller was born September 28, 1954, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of Archie LeRoy & Letha Florence (Richards) Wierson. She graduated from Ames High School in 1972 , Waldorf College and received her degree in Christian education from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. On June 19, 1976, Barbara was united in marriage to Timothy Curtis Miller in Ames Iowa. Barbara was a member of the ELCA. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara died on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, at the age of 71 years.

She is survived by her husband Reverend Tim of Williamsburg; two sons Jason (Shonna) Miller of Anamosa and Andrew (Sage) Miller of Altoona; a daughter Letha (fiancé Zach Polkinghorn) Miller of Cedar Rapids; and seven grandchildren Dallas, Daniel (fiancé Rory Bickler), Daylor, Sydney, Jackson, Maxwell & Charlotte. She is also survived by two sisters Laura Rorem of Juno Alaska and Sheila (Ron) Liston of Glenwood Springs, Colorado; and a brother-in-law Roshie Ide of California. She was preceded by her parents; a sister Marcia Ide; and a brother-in-law Larry Rorem.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at First Lutheran Church, rural Conroy. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time. Burial will be held at a later date in the Ames Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Essence of Life Hospice or The Flame Fund.
